Lauren Hering has been a leader in the Southern Tier for over 15 years. She is a graduate of the Sullivan County Community College, Binghamton University and Empire State University with degrees in Office Management and Business Education, just to name a few. Lauren started in 1994 as the owner of “All in a Name” Advertising Specialties where she was named one of the top 40 advertising specialty distributors in the USA under the age of 40. She is also the owner of "Merlins", one of the gay bars in Binghamton, NY which she re-opened in 2004 following the death of the late Doug Guilles who owned and operated the bar as “Prisms”. She has volunteered for the Binghamton Special Olympics and the Binghamton Pride Coalition as well as served on a number of Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors for Broome County. In 1998 Lauren also received an award from the Broome County Chamber of Commerce as one of the top 40 community leaders under the age of 40. Lauren has been an asset to the Southern Tier through her commitment to the Gay Community. | ||
